Our Enrolment Process
At Miniversity Early Learning Centre, we understand how important it is for families to feel supported and informed when enrolling their child. As a family-owned and community-focused centre, we work closely with you to ensure a smooth and welcoming enrolment experience. To begin, please follow these steps:
-
Complete Our Digital Enrolment Forms
We use the OWNA app for all enrolment documentation to make the process simple, convenient, and paper-free. The forms gather all legally required details about your child, including health, emergency contacts, and developmental needs. Your information is handled confidentially and securely.
You can access our forms here:
-
Meet with Our Centre Director & Tour the Centre
We invite you to schedule a personal meeting with Miss Debs, our Centre Director or Miss Lani, our Area Manager. This session includes a full tour of the centre, introductions to your child’s educators, and a discussion about your family’s individual needs and expectations. This meeting is a chance to ask questions and to help your child become familiar with their new environment.
-
Register for Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
To receive government fee assistance, families must register with Centrelink for the Child Care Subsidy prior to their child’s first day. This subsidy is income-based and reduces out-of-pocket fees. Miss Lani & Miss Debs are available to help you with this process and answer any questions.
-
Review and Accept Centre Policies
You will be provided with our Parent Handbook and other important documents explaining how Miniversity operates, our educational philosophy, and how we care for your child.
-
Payment of Fees
Before commencing care, families are required to pay a two-week full fee amount:
- One week’s fees in advance to secure your child’s place.
- Please note that Child Care Subsidy payments are made to us in arrears, so bond refunds may take up to four weeks following your child’s departure.
-
Receive Your Welcome Pack
Once your enrolment fee is received, your child will receive a Miniversity-branded T-shirt and sun-safe hat to help them feel part of our family right from the start.
-
Set Start Dates and Support Settling In
We understand that every family and child is unique. We work with you to set a start date and attendance pattern that fits your needs. We encourage gradual settling-in visits, so your child can adjust comfortably, supported by familiar staff and surroundings.

Child Care Management System (CCMS) & Subsidy Information
The Child Care Management System (CCMS) is a Commonwealth Government subsidy program that helps families reduce child care fees.
-
Registration and Eligibility:
Families must register with the Family Assistance Office (FAO) via Centrelink and maintain a current CCS Assessment Notice. Full fees apply if your CCS is not active.
Registration should be completed before your child starts care unless you opt to pay full fees and claim a tax rebate later. -
Ongoing Compliance:
You must respond promptly to any requests from Centrelink or FAO, returning forms on time to avoid subsidy interruptions and large unexpected bills.
-
Attendance Signing:
Parents/carers must sign children IN and OUT every day for subsidy eligibility. For absences, you must record the reason (e.g., illness, holiday, RDO). If absences are known ahead of time, please sign in advance to ensure subsidy payments continue during those periods.
Fees & What’s Included
Our fees include:
- Our in-house chef tailors all meals and snacks to meet children’s dietary needs
- Daily application of sunscreen
- Nappies
- Incursions
- Excursions
- Weekly Educational Programs
For detailed fee schedules and payment options, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the centre directly. Remember, CCS must be active before your child begins care to avoid paying full fees.
Holidays, Public Holidays & Fees
Fees continue during holidays and public holidays as we reserve your child’s place. Please notify Miss Debs or Miss Lani of holiday plans and complete the relevant forms to ensure smooth fee management.
